Throwing Rocks

Modernity has created a cosmic difference between intellect and action, even when both are driven by the same motives; as such, the only people qualified to lead a present-day revolution would never actually do so.

Vive la complacency, right?

If a radical pacificist were elected during boom times, if we were then viciously attacked on the home soil by a State/NGO, and if instead of retaliating with a terrible swift sword he sought dialogue and understanding with our brazen foe--if all of this happened, the outraged would take to the streets, I think. If the Administration refused to change ways or step down, I think you would see a military or civilian coup.

Not exactly a revolution, but I'm pretty sure it would involve rock throwers and guns, and perhaps a benign military dictatorship operating under nation-wide martial law.
